Learn About the Origins of the Mortal Kombat Sub Zero Costume
The Mortal Kombat series has a lot of exciting and appealing characters the costumes of which are used a lot during the Halloween celebrations.
Among the most popular Halloween outfits has always been the Mortal Kombat Sub Zero costume. In fact there are two Sub Zero costumes, the first one for the older brother Bi-Han and the second one for the younger brother Kuai Liang.
Both costumes are blue color which symbolizes that the twin brothers have the power to control the ice. The costume for the younger brother Kuai Liang has a scar on the right eye which he has gotten from the fights in MKII -MKIII.
Origins
The costumes for both characters have an interesting story behind them. Both Sub-Zeros are of a Chinese decent. Their father was a Cryomancer and the mother was human. Against their mother’s will both brothers were taken back to China, where they had received training to become assassins. This story is revealed in detail in the Mortal Kombat Trailer of 2011.

The costume for both brothers is blue color, ninja-style. In order to show their Chinese-American heritage, both costumes are designed with Asian face features. The Sub Zero costume for the younger brother has slightly changed in an updated MK4 version.
He’s now dressed more as an armored warrior which makes it much more unique and different from the other costumes. Initially the costume for the younger brother had the Dragon Medallion on the right side of his chest area, but the newer version does not show it on the new costume.
Dressing up in a Mortal Kombat Sub Zero costume during your Halloween party can be very exciting as it shows your unique personality to others. It makes you stand out and be that ninja hero that most girls ultimately find very attractive and manly.
